Today, Ministers have set out the next steps for Northern Powerhouse Rail between Manchester and Liverpool which will mean a new hub station at Warrington Bank Quay and faster more frequent trains running East to West.
It will also provide a springboard for further regeneration in the town centre, particularly around Wilson Patten Street, Arpley Meadows and the former Unilever site which closed back in 2020. This investment, alongside the £120 million already confirmed last month for transport infrastructure, puts Warrington in a fantastic place to create more jobs and opportunity locally.
